B.I.R.D.S is an NGO primarily working in Rajeevnagar slum ,Vijayawada. The people living here are daily laborers and have little awareness about the importance of education. They belong to what the society classifies them as Low class (SC/ST/BC). Due to insufficient funds, the kids are not sent to schools. Instead, they work as child labors in and around this area to meet their daily needs. After a detailed survey, the BIRDS NGO took the initiative and established a Special Child Labor school in this area. Their situation now is much better as the children are educated and fed at the school. On 11/05/2015, by a special request from this NGO, Alive Service Society contribute to their cause by providing the kids in this school with notebooks.
