World AIDS Day was celebrated on 1‐12‐ 2012 in Collaboration with the Government Health Department with a view to create awareness among people about the HIV and AIDS. A special rally was organized in Vijayawada city in which more than 200 school children participated. School level competitions were held on HIV & AIDS topic. The campaign was concluded with awarding prizes to winners of the competitions and discussions held on the difference between HIV & AIDS, causes, symptoms and prevention. The subject experts clarified the doubts raised by the participants on myths and misconceptions, ART treatment and services for the people living with HIV &AIDS.
